About Skinovations
Skinovations is a full service beauty salon owned and operated by Cherie Butler.
 Cherie has enjoyed a long and eventful career in the Australian beauty industry. She began her training on the Gold Coast in 1978 with Madame Korner, completing her initial Diploma of Beauty Therapy in 12 months and earning a post graduate certificate the following year.
During the same period she trained with Mark of Beauty, completing both their San Soucis and European Beauty Standards courses in 1979. She worked as a beauty consultant at Mark of Beauty from 1978 to 1983, then moved to Sydney and opened her own salon, Cherie of Mosman. The business initiated a mobile service for VIP clients, which was very successful, and she soon opened a second salon in Sydney.
In 1988 Cherie moved to Cairns in far north Queensland, where she worked at Palm Cove Beauty as a consultant. In 1990 she opened her own salon in Port Douglas, one of Australia's most popular tropical resort areas, and later opened a second salon in Cairns. For the next 15 years she and her husband David ran two flourishing businesses, which included wedding coordination services. She also found time to write a regular column for the local newspaper and raise two children.
In 2005 Cherie and her family returned to the Gold Coast, where she happily juggles motherhood, her own business, and writing about health and beauty.
